A passion for helping families in need.
Our goal is to feed underserved communities in our city, which is culturally known for some of the best cuisine in the world. Unfortunately, the disparity we are seeing is some of our hardest working citizens still can’t bring home enough to keep families fed. We find this to be unacceptable. One in three New Orleans families are currently facing food insecurity.

Toups’ Family Meal
Toups Family Meal is a non-profit founded by Chef Isaac and Amanda Toups, whose mission is to bridge the gap of food insecurity in New Orleans.
what we’ve done
Summer 2024, we focused on children who rely on the free/reduced school lunches during the school year, and successfully supplemented 70,500 meals from June 6 to August 16, while they were out of classes for the summer break.
We kicked off the Fall 2024 season by delivering 600 pumpkins and 1200 pizzas on October 5th in what we hope will become our annual pumpkin drive.
Thanksgiving – 1500 people were fed through our Thanksgiving initiative, ingredient baskets delivered allowed our families to cook a full holiday meal to their taste.
Christmas – Continuing to grow with the needs of our community we were able to serve over 1800 New Orleanians for Christmas dinner.
Valentines – we delivered hot chocolate with marshmallows and valentines cookie decorating kits to over 900 children. A little holiday sweet treat and an activity families could enjoy together.
Easter- We served 2000 of our New Orleans community Easter dinner, our biggest drive we’ve done to date.
what we plan to do
Looking to the future our goals are focused on lending a helping hand for the childrens summer lunches every year as well as holiday meal family drives. Summer will remain our busiest time, as that is when we see a significant spike in childhood food insecurity in New Orleans. We also see ourselves stepping in for disaster relief as needed. We continue to rely completely on donations to continue our work to help our community
